Q1:help! Mounting /dev/hda3 on /newroot failed: Invalid argume
Hi. The default bootloader for Gentoo is Grub2.If you use Grub2, here is my answer. You need to edit grub configuration file–grub.cfgIn grub.cfg, you may find command line like this: linux /boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-20-generic.efi.signed root=/dev/ha3 ro quiet splash $vt_handoff 2. Change /dev/ha3 to /dev/sda3. reboot and give it a shot!ps:In UEFI system, the grub.cfg file exists in the EFI system partition, that is /dev/sda1–the Fat32 partition in your 500G hard drive.
